Without the need for dedicated hardware for specific services or capabilities, there are no instances in which a piece of hardware is taxed to the limit while other hardware is sitting idle. All of the processing capabilities of the SPCs are designed to process all configured services on the gateway. -
SRX5K-SPC3 Overview
The SRX5K-SPC3 Services Processing Card (SPC) contains two Services Processing Units (SPUs) with 128GB of memory per SPU, that provide the processing power to run integrated services such as firewall, IPsec, and IDP. All traffic traversing the services gateway is passed to an SPU to have services processing applied to it. Traffic is intelligently distributed by I/O cards (IOCs) to SPUs for services processing. -
TCX1000-2D8CMD Overview
The TCX1000-2D8CMD is a standalone C-Band two-degree eight channel colorless passive multiplexer/ demultiplexer. It is a rack-mounted module that is installed alongside the TCX1000-RDM20. Each module combines the signals at eight channel input ports (C0 to C7IN ports) and broadcasts the multiplexed signals out of two Line-side direction ports (L0 OUT and L1 OUT) ports. The module also combines the signals at the two Line-side input ports (L0 IN and L1 IN ports) and broadcasts the demultiplexed signals out of eight channel output ports (C0 to C7OUT ports).
