FTK-300-5 Overview

The FortiToken 300 is a USB Token for X.509 PKI certificates used in securing Internet transactions for applications including signing/encrypting email, PDF documents, Microsoft Office files, and software, as well as for strong authentication to your VPN or web-based applications. Client certificates are known to provide higher security than One-Time-Password (OTP) tokens for two factor authentication solutions, but the private key of the PKI certificate must be kept secret to be effective. Private keys generated and stored on FortiToken 300 PKI authenticators are more secure than private keys stored as files on local hard disks because FortiToken 300 cannot be coerced to expose the private key.

FTK-200CD-100 Overview

The OATH compliant, time-based One-Time-Password (OTP) FortiToken-200CD is part of Fortinet's broad and flexible two-factor authentication offering; it is a small, keychain-sized device that offers real mobility and flexibility for the end-user. There is no client software to install; simply press the button and the FortiToken-200CD generates and displays a secure one-time password every 60 seconds to verify user identity for access to critical networks and applications. The big LCD screen of the rugged FortiToken-200CD is much easier to read than other OTP tokens and there is an indicator on the screen displaying the time left until the next OTP generation.
